Driving For Change

Human Capital Consultant

My passion for all things ‘human’ began at an early age. I was naturally curious about why certain friends hung out with certain friends. As a brownie and a girl scout, I was a natural leader. I was a competiitive overachiever with parents who believed in me and made me think all things were possible. Growing up in non-diverse neighborhoods and attending primarily non-diverse schools made me crave belonging, so I curated experiences with many people different from myself to understand culture and try to ” fit in”. Truly, I never fit, and I am glad I didn’t. It created an even stronger desire to be connected. I found myself in Mexico learning Spanish in High school, immersing myself in Asian  markets while working at Intel, and wanting to help others feel like they belonged, right where they were , just as they were, with who they were.

More About Christal Morris

We believe we all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and work to our fullest potential

I have loved working in Corporate America in several different industries and was thrilled when I was first asked to lead Diversity and Inclusion efforts for Time Warner Cable’s west region in 2006. While I didn’t understand at the time, the power that had been given to me, to leverage the creativity of employees across a vast spectrum of differences to improve the internal work culture and the way that content would be brought into homes, I knew that my life wouldn’t be the same after entering into this discipline in HR. That has proven to be true.
